LARGE FLINT

This is a large flint, left high and dry on the flood plane. Reed beds cut back, landscape exposed.

RAINBOW

The rain passing during work on location at my outdoor studio.

RECENT RIVER CAST

I have been working hard at my outdoor studio. Casting figures. Below is a recent mother and child cast. The mud was a perfect consistency for casting, even through the rain I am pleased to say.

BRONZE CASTING

My large bronze was cast at the weekend at the foundry. Probably on the hottest day of the year. 35 degrees outside, even hotter inside. Tom and the team did a great job.

BLUE MOON construction

This is a new small construction I made recently. Incorporating found elements from local boat yards and a river cast figure.

SMALL FIGURES

I have recently been working on a series of small fragment/splinter figures. Groupings are interesting as they have different dynamics and relationships depending on the positioning. Something I will continue to explore.

RIVER CASTS

Here are 3 new river casts of sculptures. I have started using a different coloured plaster in some work. It links well to the brick works which used to be on the river where I do the casting. They were in existence during Roman times, so I feel these works resonate with the historical context of the location where they are created.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Some work in progress in the studio. I usually have a few pieces in progress so I have something to react to when I come into the studio in the morning.

BRONZE

This is one of the new bronzes now showing at the Alde Valley Spring Festival. I have the first 4 bronzes on view. They are pieces relating to the on going Tide&time series.

NEW WORK

Some images of new work. Very busy working towards an exhibition coming up at the end of June. The Alde Valley Spring Festival is going well, and runs until the 20th May. Where I am showing among other pieces my first 4 bronzes.
Couple. Dark river oak from the river Alde.

A new wall hung construction.

Two figures. 'Siblings', as they are from the same piece of wood.
