PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPH

Amedeo Castellani came to the studio last week to take a portrait photograph. Great to see 'old' 5x4 negative film being used. He is a master of the craft.

The outside of the studio is getting consumed by finds too.

I need to build an extension on the side to create some more room. Will give it a clear roof and windows on the north side. A project for the end of summer when I have a bit of time.

MOORE BONES...

Here is a recent find on the beach at high tide in Aldeburgh. A well worn piece of bone.

It is easy to see how Henry Moore was so inspired by such finds on Norfolks beaches.

I remember seeing a pile of his finds in the maquette studio at Perry Green last year. The natural world has so much inspiration of course, and always seems to provide the answers to form.
